The last frames of the source give the model visual context for the next movement. A stable ending usually gives it a clearer starting point.

The dialog calculates the charge before generation. It is the greater of 2 credits per added second or a minimum of 0.8 credits per second of the finished video, rounded up to a whole credit.

The returned file combines the source and generated continuation. Check the transition, subject consistency, motion, framing, and final frame.

How do I make a short video longer with AI?
Open the extender, upload an eligible clip or choose one from My Videos, select the finished length, and describe only what should happen next. A focused prompt works best because the continuation starts from the final frames of the source.
Example continuation prompt: The toy robot takes one careful step forward, plants both feet, and stops facing the camera.
What clips can I extend?
Use an MP4 or MOV that is 2 to 10 seconds long and no larger than 100 MB. A stable final frame gives the continuation a clearer reference. Longer clips need to be trimmed to an eligible section before upload.
How long can the finished video be?
The selected total can be up to 15 seconds. For example, a 9 second source can continue by 6 seconds to reach 15, while a 10 second source can continue by 5 seconds to reach 15.
How much does an extension cost?
The shown quote is the greater of 2 credits per added second or a minimum of 0.8 credits per second of the finished video, rounded up to a whole credit. Extending 9 seconds to 15 costs 12 credits. Extending 10 seconds to 15 also costs 12 credits because the minimum applies.
Can I extend a video from My Videos?
Yes, when the completed clip is eligible and its measured duration is from 2 to 10 seconds. Open its actions in My Videos and choose Make longer. Clips outside those limits will not offer the extension action.
What should I check in the result?
Watch the transition into the generated section, then check subject identity, object count, body and hand shape, motion direction, camera framing, and the final frame. If the continuation tries to do too much, use one simpler action or a shorter added span.
